National Marketing Week

About National Marketing Week

Established by the Canadian Marketing Association, National Marketing Week will increase awareness and recognition of the important role marketers across Canada play in serving consumers, stimulating the economy, and supporting local communities. It will culminate each year with a celebration of excellence at the annual CMA Awards Show & Gala, Canada’s premiere marketing awards event.

Why celebrate marketing?

Marketing activities stimulate economic growth, elevate small and medium-sized businesses and drive innovation and creativity. Marketing is an important force for good, with campaigns and platforms playing a role in bringing about societal change and building awareness of important issues and causes within Canada and beyond. The marketing industry employs thousands of professionals from coast to coast. Canada’s marketers live and work in the largest cities and the smallest towns and represent every sector of the economy, including health care, technology, manufacturing, retail, not-for-profit, post-secondary education, government, financial services and more.

How you can participate

National Marketing Week provides an opportunity for you and your organization to recognize and champion the role marketing plays in the Canadian economy. Here are some tips for celebrating marketing across Canada:

  • Publicly thank your organization’s marketing team and celebrate their achievements.
  • Share some of your favourite marketing campaigns and why they are important to you.
  • Tell us your story: How did your journey in marketing begin, the changes you have observed and what you love about your role now. Remember to use the hashtag #NationalMarketingWeek on social media.

2021 dates

National Marketing Week will take place from November 15-21, 2021.
