More than 125 industry leaders join CMA's 2020-21 Councils

In previous notes, I’ve referred to our Councils as the lifeblood of the CMA. Throughout the pandemic, we have been inspired by the continued engagement, passion and thought leadership that has come from our seven existing Councils. In August, we officially launched our Talent Council and we have plans for an Agency Council in 2021.

Today, I’m pleased to announce the rosters for the 2020-21 term, with a record 125+ thought leaders representing brands, agencies, not-for-profits and service providers on our eight Councils. Nearly 40% of these accomplished professionals are joining the Council community for the first time. 

Some of these individuals represent longstanding CMA members like Rogers, HSBC Canada, Ipsos and Loyalty One, while others join us from more recent additions to the CMA family, including Amazon, HBC, Metricsflow, Softchoice and Conestoga College. We are excited to have the strength of continuity and the vigor of new members on board for what promises to be an exceptional year for thought leadership, networking and learning in Canada’s marketing community.

We’ll kick the year off next week at our annual Council Orientation, featuring a panel on Marketing Talent: Challenges and Opportunities. Following the panel, attendees will enter virtual breakout rooms to plan their initiatives for the upcoming year.
